At the peak of its popularity, these top cricketers worked with at least 15 to 20 brands. These deals typically include just one day of shooting, and in turn, the advertisement runs on TV and digital platforms throughout the year, as Shastri explained.

Ravi Shastri said that the specialty is the specialty of Alastair Cook, Phil Tuffnell, Michael Vaughan and David Lloyd for cricket on the podcast stick, “They earn a lot. They earn a lot through endorsements, of course. Certainly. Above 100 crores. What I say is 10 million pounds.”

BCCI players pay their cricketers through grade

Meanwhile, the BCCI gives Indian players a central contract based on their performance and forms.

These contracts are divided into four categories- Grade A+, Grade A, Grade B, and Grade C. The players in Grade A+ have top stars and receive INR 7 crore per year.

Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja currently conduct grade A+ contracts with BCCI. Grade A earn 5 crores in a year.

The group has six players: KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant. Grade B players get 3 crore INR annually, and in grade C they get each 1 crore rupees from BCCI.
