India National Cricket Team captain Shubman Gill has become the major targets of the England national cricket team as well as the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.
During the fourth test of the five -match testing series between India and England, Shubman Gill was welcomed with a huge buzz by mob at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Shubman Gill targeted by England players and fans
Gill’s antics in Lord’s Test have not gone down well with English fans and a part of the entire team. His outbreak in the time-to-time strategy of Zak Crowley and Ben Docket has made him the number 1 villain in England.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Shubman Gill justified his oral attack on the English opener, stating that the batsmen were late 90 seconds to come to the crease and this was “nothing that comes in the spirit of sports.”
England focused on Gill’s jib at the press conference and ensured him hostile welcomes to reach the middle to bat in Old Trafford, Manchester.
Shubman Gill went out to bat in the 41st over, when Liam Dawson dismissed Yashsvi Jaiswal. When he was getting hot while walking towards the crease, the English mob took him heavy.
It did not affect the captain of India as he played some crisp shots to close the crowd. However, he was not able to play a big innings as England captain Ben Stokes dismissed him for 23-ball 12 in the 50th over.
On the first ball of the over, Ben Stokes performed a stunning delivery from the angle that returned to the pad and had a little gill on the pad because he did not give any shot.
Rod Tucker took some time before lifting the finger, and Ben Stokes excluded the roar of a lion on Gill’s face as the decision went in his favor. Shubman Gill then decided to burn the DRS before walking back.

Speaking on Sky Sports, former India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik praised Shubman Gill and said that he is improving as a leader and topped the media interactions. He explained in detail:
“I have really enjoyed him as a captain so far, on the field I think he is improving, but I am the most impressed outside the field. I think it was absolutely box office in the context of yesterday’s press conference, obviously it was calm until it was asked about things that things have become a little spicy and he said, see why, England said,”
“You need an identity as a captain and from that third day Shubman Gill is actually shown in Lord’s that he has a lot of aggression inside him and wants to lead this Indian team.
