He made his way to India’s Test in India’s Test, which was on a sensational performance for India A and for Haryana in domestic cricket.

Kamboj, who has a cool jersey with AK as its name, as his name and number 47, received his Test debut cap from former wicketkeeper-batsman Deep Dasgupta before the play in Manchester.

He became the first Indian since mythological Anil Kumble to make his Test debut in Manchester. In particular, Kumble made his Test debut at the venue in 1990.

Both Kamboj and Kumble have an innings in first-class cricket as AK and 10-veic halls as AK. Kumble achieved that feat against Pakistan in 1999, and Kamboj reached Landmark against Kerala in 2024.

Overall, Kamboj became a 318th cricketer to play Tests for India and the sixth with a Dob on 6 December after RP Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Karun Nair, Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer on 6 December.

On being selected in the team, we left the decision in God’s hands – Satish Rana

Ansul Kamboj Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy emerged as India’s best pacer on a shadow tour before 2025. However, Harshit Rana was preferred as a cover for the first Test before being released from the squad.

Later, the selectors turned to Ansul Kamboj as Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep was injured and included him in the squad for the last two tests.

Meanwhile, Satish Rana, coach of Anshul Kamboj, revealed that the young pacer worked hard after returning to India and gave up his selection in the hands of God.

“After returning, Ansul bowled and batted a lot. He was preparing a lot. We thought, as his overall performance was really good, he would get a chance. Ansul bowled enough experience with Dux Ball. Haryana Cricket Association has played a big role. He bowled with a duke ball after coming here.

“He also opened the nets. I recently talked to him after coming back from the tour of India. We were just focusing on putting in the hard yard and working hard. By getting up in the team, we left the decision in the hands and selectors to God. It was on them, but we were always convinced that Ansul would get a chance to get a chance to his strong performances in the domestic circuit.”

They were demolished – the coach of Anshul Kamboj

Ansul Kamboj came into the limelight with his performance for Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Haryana, but his journey was not completely a smooth, as he was once “Dimral” and left cricket after a bad injury just before the 2020 U -19 World Cup.

“He was demolished. Due to his injury, he was not able to play in the U19 World Cup. He was really upset. The U19 World Cup is a big tournament, and it’s a step towards international cricket. But he moved forward, and now he is making his debut,” Rana said.

“Taking 10 wickets is a great thing in itself. Only those who are lucky get a chance to take ten wickets. It works very hard. We are just hoping that there is a beginning to remember Ansul and helps India win the match against England in Manchester,” Rana further said.
