Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has entered an honest that he always felt that the legendary spinner Bishan Singh Bedi was never happy with his bowling style.
Harbhajan Singh is often considered one of the greatest spinners in the Indian subcontinent. He has played 103 Tests, 236 Odis and 28 T20I for India and he is the third biggest wicket for India in all three formats. He took 711 wickets in his career for India, with 417, 269 and 25 wickets respectively.
Singh, who announced his retirement from international cricket in December 2021, mentioned that the late Indian legend Bedi was one who always preferred more traditional flights on the ball. However, Singh admitted that he was more known for his variations than the flight.

Harbhajan Singh makes revelations about Bishan Singh Bedi’s opinion
In the recent discussion with former spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on ‘Kuti Stories with Ash’ on Ashwin’s Youtube channel, Harbhajan Singh revealed why he felt that Bedi felt that Bedi never found him as a spinner as a spinner, as he did not bowl according to the standards set by the former spinner.
“Honestly, I did not have a lot of conversation with him. For some reason, I felt that he doesn’t like me very much. Certainly, it could just be my idea. But yes, I am a great fan of him. I have great respect for him, and whenever I met him, I always asked for his blessings.”
On Ashwin’s YouTube Podcast, Harbhajan Singh confirmed, “But, I always felt that he was not really happy with my bowling. My bowling did not have the flight that he felt that he needed.”
Harbhajan then biased his bowling strategy and an ideal spinner with his opinion.
“There was speed, but I did not think you needed a flight to get out the batsman every time. This is where you are pitching it and how you are playing it that matters.”
Singh said, “This is my opinion, and I am not saying that it is absolutely correct … it depends on the batsman as well. If we are giving him time, if he steps out, you have to be separated. As spinners, we know how to play the batsman,” Singh said.

The former Indian spinner urged India to bring back Kuldeep Yadav for the fourth test in Manchester. The spinner, despite being part of the Indian team, has not played in a single game so far.
Indians have trusted all -rounders Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja, and yet expert spinners are not to play on the side. Now, Singh has urged his former team partner Gautam Gambhir to bring him back to stop the English scoring rate.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, who has now been excluded from the remaining tests, may be an opportunity to bring back Chinaman.
Harbhajan Singh to play for legends India in WCL
Currently, the former spinner, who has now retired from cricket for a long time and plays commentary, is involved in the Legends World Championship with Indian legends.
He was a winning side in the final season of the tournament and took an early, adventurous step to get out of participation in WCL sports against Pakistan after the Pelangam attack.
He is expected to be a part of India’s veterans in the upcoming stability against South Africa legends.
