Pataudi Trophy renamed Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy
Prior to the unveiling of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in 2025, India and England were included in a series, known as the Red-Ball series The Pataudi Trophy. The test chain, which is played in India between the two countries, is known as the Anthony de Melo Trophy.
A day before the start of the test series between India and England, legends James Anderson and Sachin Tendulkar were present for the unveiling of the trophy in his name in London. Retired Pesar said it was a very proud moment for him and his family.
Anderson said, “It is a proud moment for me and my family to name this prestigious series after Sachin and himself. The rivalry between our two nations has always been something special, full of history, intensity and unforgettable moments,” said Anderson.

England series are moving 2–1
After winning the Lord’s Test, England are leading the series by a margin of 2–1, which ended with great thrill and anticipation. The match was a low scoring thriller who ended in favor of England after putting on a surprising performance.
The fourth test has now become a decisive of a series for India, as losing this test will eliminate their hopes in the series. In particular, the fourth Test will be played from 23rd to 27 July at Old Trafford, Manchester.
