Former Indian World Cup winner Suresh Raina has unveiled his world, playing a Xi on the occasion of the ongoing World Championship of Legends 2025 (WCL 2025). Surprisingly, Suresh Raina ignored his former captain and his closest friends, MS Dhoni, to play XI for his dream world.
Even the legend of the modern era, Virat Kohli, who has now retired from Test and T20I cricket, was not chosen by his former team partner Raina to play XI in his world. Raina went to the old school with his pix, who used to choose West West Indian Brian Lara and all -time great Sachin Tendulkar as his openers.

The star-staded middle order of former Indian batsman features West Indies Legend Sir Vivian Richards and Gary Sobers, as well as India’s legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. Raina also selected two English all -rounders to provide balance to his dream world.

Ian Bosh and Andrew Flintoff were handed over all -round duties by Raina. Interestingly, the ICC Champions Trophy winner has carried out a heavy spin attack, which features late Australian spinners Shane Warne, Indian great Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh and Pakistan’s spin wizard Saklan Mushtaq.
To complete the squad, Raina has chosen former South African wrist-spinner Paul Adams as the Effects Playing Effiker in his world. However, he has not specified who his captain will be, either an expert wicketkeeper.
He could easily be chosen by MS Dhoni, who is considered the best man in the world behind the stump, but he ignored Indian legend with Virat Kohli.

Raina will play for the India Champions team, which is full of big names of Indian cricket. Suresh Raina’s career number
International cricket retired in 2020, after representing his country in 18 Tests, 226 Odis, and 78 T20I, retired. The former Indian batsman was a prominent member of the squad who won the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.
He has more than 8000 international runs in his name. Raina was also a star artist in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He represented Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in over 200 matches and won four IPL titles with him. Raina remains one of the highest run-scorer in IPL history with 5528 runs, a century and 39 fifties.
