The ICC has assessed all the possible qualification options and has tasked the soon to be formed. If the ranking is chosen as the base, the group will also recommend a suitable cut-off date. The LA28 will feature only six men and six female teams in the T20 format.

Leadership to finalize the fate of ICC USA cricket -Suraghal
ICC is preparing to make an important decision about the future of USA Cricket (USAC), as the stress between the governing body and its leadership increases. A recent generalization committee sent to the US has allegedly called for the resignation of USAC officials.
The ICC received a directive from the American Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC), for which the USAC needs to secure a condition for any sport involved in the La 28 games, to secure the status of the National Governing Body (NGB).
The ICC has warned that the failure to solve the issues of the rule of the USAC can damage its official recognition and potentially prevent the US team from competing in the Olympics, a major setback for re -production of the game on such a global platform.
