37 -year -old India National Cricket Team batsman Ajinkya Rahane has once again expressed his desire to represent the nation in Test cricket.
Amidst the third Test match of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Lord’s in London, Ajinkya Rahane said that he is still very emotional about playing Test cricket and wants to make it in the Indian team.

Ajinkya Rahane last played for India in 2023
Rahane was one of the top batsmen of the Indian team in the last decade and Virat Kohli was a prominent member of the side who dominated both homes and abroad.
Even after continuous performance, he was appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian Test team and led the side to win a historic border-Gavaskar Trophy in the 2020–21 season.
Overall, he played 85 Test matches for the India National Cricket Team and scored 5077 runs at an average of 38.46, including 12 centuries and 26 fifties.
Rahane, who also has his name in Lord’s Honors Board, last played for India in 2023 in 2023 in the Test series against the West Indies in 2023. In particular, Rahane made his comeback in the team in the final of WTC 2023, and was released after a series against the West Indies.
I still want to play Test cricket – Ajinkya Rahane
In an interview on Sky Sports at Lord’s, Michael Etharton asked Rahen whether he wanted to play Test cricket again for India.
Michael Etharton said on Akash Sports on Akash Sports, “We are happy to join 85 Test runs, 12 Tests, 12 Tests, Hundreds, and Cotton for India, Ajinkya is happy to join Rahane, winning four of them, so set an extraordinary record.

Responding to this, Rahane said that he is still enjoying his cricket and is preparing himself with his eyes on the return of India’s Test. He said:
“Not at all. First, it’s good to be here. I still want to play Test cricket. I am emotional about playing Test cricket. At this time, I am enjoying my cricket. For a few days, I, I, I can keep my trainers, my training clothes, so that I can keep myself fit. Our domestic season is starting, so the preparation is still done.”

Rahane also revealed that he tried to interact with Ajit Agarkar -led selection committee to get a clear picture about his future of India, but received a cold shoulder.
“For me it’s about focusing on controllers. Clearly, I tried to interact with the selectors, but I did not get any response. I have to play what I can do. I love Test cricket. I love to play with a red ball. It’s a passion,” said the experienced batsman.
Whenever he was absent, talking about Virat Kohli being deputy and Leading India in Test cricket, Ajinkya Rahane said he wanted to lead the team with his unique style. He said:
“Every captain should have his own style. When I became a Test captain, I always wanted to return my style and thinking and instinct. For me it was about being right for my character, supporting my tendency.”
