Speaking to Revsports, Sourav Ganguly claimed Shubman Gill’s batting performance, as it is one of the best innings he seen on English earth. He mentioned that even in his years of watching cricket, he never saw such an official innings in England.
“Shubman is batting like a dream,” said Ganguly. “Look at my tweet and you will know. To play and watch cricket in my three decades, it is one of the best exhibitions of batting that I have seen.”
“He is simply innocent. There is no chime in his armor and the English bowlers do not look like taking him out. The way he is batting, and you will know what I am saying. Gill is not making a mistake. He was always pleasing to the eye.
“And now he is showing hunger and nature. If you see him now, you will be surprised how he can be less than 50 in Test cricket.” Ganguly said while talking with Revsports.

Praising Shubman Gill’s influence, Sourav Ganguly unknowingly separated former Indian Test captain Virat Kohli from the top position for his stellar knock in the England series in 2018.
The batsman scored a historic 593 runs in the series, when he was the captain of the Indian side. The Indian captain crossed his record of 2014 to reach a high performance of a career with 2 centuries and 3 fifties.
