After Gill failed to bother, Brook carried forward his goal and tried to sled the pants. He tried to distract the vice-captain of the Indian Test, challenging a Quickfire Ton, but the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman closed him with a barbaric reply.

India wants to ensure that England is completely and completely out – Mark Butcher
As India continued batting despite a huge leadership, former England player Mark Bachar was abandoned. Speaking on Sky Sports, he said:
“India has lost a little window, but it is an inheritance, a tribute, which has been placed in teams while fearing Stokes and England set the goals of the fourth paan.
“India wants to ensure that England is completely and completely out of it and then you ask a team to attract the game whether they can do this. Whether a team may not be famous for defending and watching the game? Circumstances say that you should be able to be able.”
Mark Bachar also questioned India’s strategy, which was not scoring a quick run on the fourth day. He explained in detail:
“India could give more time to win the game by scoring fast. He did so that Pant was at the crease, but not later. Which came out to do the right thing, we would find out tomorrow, but it is a bit shocking for now.
“In one phase it was seen that they were running towards 500-plus and now they are stopping. Whatever has been done has taken the time. The pitch is still incredibly good for batting, if not for cricket.”
