Newly appointed India National Cricket Team Test skipper Shubman Gill played a sensational innings in the second Test of the five-match series against the England National Cricket Team.

On day 2, Gill reached 150 runs marks in 263 balls and historic double century milestones in 311 balls. After hitting the double hundred, Gill accelerated and did not get a score of 250 runs in no time.
It seemed that he would easily score a triple ton, but it did not happen because he came out poorly by pulling a delivery in the hands of Oli Pope in the square leg directly from the tongue. Shubman Gill finished his innings with 30 fours and 3 sixes off 387 balls with a score of 269 runs.

Gill has become the first player in history to have achieved the fifth batsmen to achieve the dual century in both tests and ODIs at the age of 25 and to achieve this achievement.
He also became the first Indian player to record 250-plus scores in tests outside the subcontinent, going ahead of 241 of Sachin Tendulkar and had a record for the highest score by an Indian captain, who passed through Virat Kohli’s 254*.
Gill is only the 6th Indian players to score more than 250 in the test and record the highest score for India in England, crossing the 221 of Sunil Gavaskar, besides, the young right -handed batsman to hit a couple of times abroad, after Virat Kohli, became a second Indian captain to hit a double hundred countries after a two -time hit.
