Former Australian national cricket team wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Hadin has given a stern warning to India National Cricket Team Test Captain Shubman Gill.
Brad Hadin said Shubman Gill should make a ‘attitude adjustment’ after the team’s defeat for the team in the first Test of the five -match series in Hadingley in Leeds.
I think there is a legacy, Shubman Gill has started leaving this team now – Brad Hadin
Brad Haddin was disappointed with the terrible fielding performance displayed by India at the Leeds Test and felt that it reflects Captain Shubman Gill’s attitude.

Hadin said Shubman Gill needs to ensure that it makes India a great fielding team during its tenure, which starts working on its attitude.
“Every great team, no matter what year you are playing, a stand out feature that they always have, is that they have been a great fielding team. And I think a legacy Gill has started leaving this team now. They need an approach adjustment. If you want to field well and want to compete the whole time, it is only a hostility.
He said, “You can remove all your technical work from the field and there are many coaches in the form of someone, but it does not matter. Even in the IPL this year, the catching was terrible. And it could be a bypractor,” he said on Listner Sport Podcast.
India dropped 8 catches in 1 Test against England
Shubman Gill & Company, led by Ben Stokes in the Test Series Opener, suffered a 5-wicket defeat, and the disadvantage was mainly attributed to the poor fielding performance of the side.
During the Test match, India dropped eight catches opportunities, which shifted the pace towards the England National Cricket Team.
Those eight occasions scored 250 runs to India and extended the struggle of the Indian bowling unit led by Jasprit Bumrah.
The worst performing batsman for India was Yashsvi Jaiswal, who was responsible for the four dropped catch – three (third slip, fourth slip, and street) and a deep in a deep.
Yashasvi Jaiswal equaled the record of the most dropped catch by an Indian fielder in a Test match and faced cruel cursing with fans as well as fans.
But if you are going to be a great player, then he has got to work on his fielding – Brad Hadin on Vaibhav Suryavanshi
Brad Hadin highlighted the importance of fielding, saying that Rajasthan Royals’ 14 -year -old batting sensation, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, set fire to the Indian Premier League 2025 with his extraordinary batting performance, but he would not achieve greatness until he establishes himself as a good filer.
“Take the young child [Vaibhav Suryavanshi] For example from Rajasthan. Everyone is talking about how well he bats, and it was incredible. But if you are going to be a great player, then he has to work on his fielding, his appearance in the game. One thing I will say to India is a way to be the best fielding team in the world because you have got talent everywhere, ”he said.
The India National cricket team moved from 430/3 to 471 in the first innings of the Leeds Test against England, and in the second innings, India went from 333/4 to 364. Talking about India’s shocking collapse, Brad Headin said:
“What has not happened for the first time is India’s batting collapse. There is a lot of pressure on that top order. If you get through them, they will go through the remaining.”
