Australia -friendly Australia opener Chris Lynn performed an impressive batting in the Vitality Blast 2025 semi -finals in Edgbaston on Saturday 13 September. The batsman hit five consecutive sixes in a single on Northamptonshire during the Commanding Six-Cicket of Hampshire Hawks.
Northamptonshire scored 158/7 in 18 overs, and the target was adjusted in 155 to Hampshire via DLS method. Run Chase became unilateral as Chris Lynn through opposition bowling, which helped Hampshire to win in just 15.4 overs with seven wickets in hand to reach Shikhar’s clash.

Hampshire needed 38 runs from the last four overs, when Chris Lynn decided to take over against Northamptonshire leg-spinner Lloyd Pope. The match looked equally balanced at that level, but Lynn shifted the speed to Hampshire’s favor.

Lynn broke five balls in a line with Pope’s bowling. He also brought his century with the fourth six of the over, reaching the landmark from only 49 delivery. The crowd of Edgbaston was enthusiastic as his explosive hitting required only eight runs from the final 18 balls.
When Lynn was given LBW, there was more drama on the last ball of the over. However, he reviewed the verdict, and Ripley showed the ball missing the stumps. The decision was overturned through DRS, allowing Lynn to continue.

Chris Lynn Score Nie 108 runs away from 51 balls
Lynn scored an unbeaten 108 off 51 balls including 11 sixes and 5 fours at a strike rate above 200. This was his fourth century in the T20 blast and his first for Hampshire. The batsman first scored three centuries for North Comment in 2021 and 2022.
Earlier, Hampshire opted to bowl first and ran through North Committees’s top order, making him struggling at 86 for 6 in a phase. Justin Broad then scored 61 runs out of 39 delivery and raised a total of 158 for 7 in 18 overs.
Hampshire booked his place in the finals for the fourth T20 crown, where he will face the Samaraset. The Somerset has been a major force in recent years, reaching four in the last five finals.

After the match, Lynn said that the surface appeared easier later. He said that Hampshire still has another step. The batsman also mentioned that he enjoyed playing in Hampshire Jersey.
“It is easy to sit here and say that it is now a flat wicket. [It was a case of] At one time a ball, we knew that there was a little bit in front of it, he got some quality seam bowlers, “Lynn said in the post -match presentation.
“For us, it was about partnership. This is the first Dominos Down. Really happy, but still got to do another work. Personally, it will close my day if we can go again. I really like this shirt, I hope they will return me next year,” he said.
