PBKS opener Prabhsimran Singh has lost his mind in the Delhi Capitals dugout after he received a few blows from both the openers, the two men coming out with a mission.

After some stunning batting performances from the Delhi Capitals batsmen, the Punjab Kings openers have really given it back to the DC bowlers in the powerplay itself. After the start, the way KL Rahul and Nitish Rana managed to score 160+ runs in the last ten overs, the Kings batsmen have scored runs at a run rate of over 19 within the powerplay.

Prabhsimran Singh destroyed Mukesh Kumar by hitting six fours in one over.

Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh along with Priyansh Arya did wonders for the Kings and they added 116 runs in the powerplay. After a solid start to the innings, Natarajan bowled the 5th over and reined in the hitting.

Mukesh Kumar returned to bowl the final over of the powerplay, and Prabhasimran showed his aggressive style, scoring 24 runs in the final over. He hit six different shots against the fast bowler and did not think twice when countering his pace or swing.

This would be the first time that any Indian batsman has managed to hit seven fours in a row, as he continued his attack in the next over and hit another four off Axar Patel on the seventh ball.

Kuldeep Yadav brings DC back into the game with double strike against PBKS

Delhi Capitals need continued successes after a great start from the PBKS openers. However, with the captain returning with the wicket of Priyansh Arya right after the powerplay, Kuldeep was brought in at the right time.

Kuldeep picked out Prabhasimran as he bowled low and slowed down while coming down the pitch, which went on to trap Prabhasimran right in front of three stumps. The striking opener was back in the dugout.

Kuldeep’s second over produced another surprise as in-form batsman Cooper Connolly was lost in flight as he clean bowled him in a wrong over, leaving the left-hander baffled and caught in his defence.

Vipraj Nigam, not Dushmantha Chameera, has been chosen as Ngidi’s replacement.

After Lungi Ngidi was taken out on a stretcher, it was decided that he would not return in this match. Therefore, Delhi had no option but to switch with the concussion substitute. He bowled Dushmantha Chameera in that over but dismissed him soon after.

Later, after the Indian spin pair took three wickets for the Capitals after the powerplay, Vipraj Nigam was announced as a concussion substitute for the South African fast bowler. According to the DC management, with Australian batsman Marcus Stoinis coming down the order, a third spinner would be useful.

Vipraraj bowled his first over in the 11th over of the game and this was the over in which PBKS star Shreyas Iyer was dismissed.
